Homestyle chicken soup recipes????I have a whole chicken and?

I went to a friends house once and they made homestyle chicken soup it was so good???Any recommendations on how to make this I already have the bird now I need to know what to do with it? Is chicken broth needed?Homestyle chicken soup recipes????I have a whole chicken and?
Here is one of my quick and easy chicken soup recipes.

If you have a slow cooker..

put the cleaned whole chicken into the slow cooker. Add water to cover the chicken. Salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken falls off the bones. Take the chicken out of the slow cooker and pick it off the bone. Save the liquid. After you have picked the chicken clean, look for bone fragments in the liquid. i pour it thru a strainer, Return the liquid to the slow cooker add the chicken.Add a chicken flavored cube Add veggies. I use veg-all. A couple of can is usually enough. A bag of frozen works well too. Add a jar of chicken gravy to the mix. And cook until veggies are done. You can add noodles if you like Add more salt and pepper if you like

If you dont have a slow cooker, you can just boil in a pot on the stove. the follow the directions above..

I dont generally use broth. The liquid from the boiled chcken should be enough.

I usually add more potatoes because we like potatoes. The veggies can be altered to suit you.. If you want it thicker, use less liquid...

Cut the chicken up into serving size. Boil vegetables (cut into bite sized 2 carrots, 5 celery stalks, 2 onions %26amp; 4 potatoes), 1 cup bailey %26amp; chicken until everything is cooked, season with salt %26amp; pepper and serve.
How i would make it is that first i would cut the chicken and buy some chicken broth. Oh ya and the cut chicken should not be to big. After that add some salt and pepper according to your test. For me i love spices and if you do to then you should add some peppers. One more thing -- Dont forget the boiling water. Add everything in the boiling water and after stirring it for a while you got yourself a nice steaming cup (pot) of soup. Good Luck!
Hearty Chicken Soup

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 medium onions, cut into medium dice

1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds), breast removed and split; remaining chicken cut into 2-inch pieces

Salt

1 large carrot, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick

1 celery stalk, sliced 1/4-inch thick

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

2 cups (3 ounces) hearty egg noodles

Ground black pepper

1/4 cup minced fresh parsley leaves

Instructions:

Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large soup kettle. Add half of chopped onions and all chicken pieces (reserve breast). Saute until chicken is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until chicken releases its juices, about 20 minutes. Increase heat to high; add 2 quarts water along with whole chicken breast, 1 teaspoon salt and bay leaves. Bring to a simmer, then cover, reduce heat to low and barely simmer until chicken breast is cooked and broth is rich and flavorful, 20 minutes longer.

Remove chicken breast from kettle; set aside. When cool enough to handle, remove skin from breast, then remove meat from bones and shred into bite-size pieces; discard skin and bones. Strain broth into a large bowl and discard any remaining chicken pieces and bones. Skim fat from broth and reserve 2 tablespoons. (Broth and meat can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days.)

Return soup kettle to medium-high heat. Add reserved chicken fat. Add remaining onion, along with carrot and celery, Saute until softened, about 5 minutes. Add thyme, broth and shredded chicken. Simmer until vegetables are tender and flavors meld, 10 to 15 minutes. Add noodles and cook until just tender, about 5 minutes. Adjust seasonings, adding salt, if necessary, and pepper, stir in parsley and serve.

Yield: about 3 quarts; 6 to 8 servings
Cover the chicken with water and simmer for 2 hrs. Remove it from the broth and cook celery, onion, a little garlic and potatoes or noodles in the broth. Take the meat from the chicken and add to the soup at the end. Salt and pepper.
Take the bird asnd cover with water, boil him for a good 2 hours adding water if you need to.....make sure you skim the top of the pot for some grey junk that will surface, make sure it is clear when you finish boiling him.....you could add 4 to 6 bouillion cubes if you want, I do, low sodium ones....

Once he is done, take him out of water and add 2 sliced onions, 1 bunch celery with hearts and fresh leafy greens, 5 chopped carrots and some more ouillion if needed, simmer for another hour and in the mean time debone the bird, add all the cooled chopped chicken back into pot....serve over noodles.
I have my own simple recipe for chicken soup:

*cook the chicken with garlic and chicken bouillion cubes

*once the chicken is cooked, add potatoes, broccoli, carrots, zuccini, cauliflowers: cook for at least 15-20 min.

*add egg noodles

how i make homemade chicken soup is:

big pot, water, chicken broth, chicken, corn, small noodles (think they're called dandi or something like that), (cook the noodles first), sometimes i put green beans and carrots, salt and pepper. and i just let it cook on the stove at a low temp for an hour or 2. (so chicken broth can be absorbed into the chicken and stuff)
Take your chicken and rinse it well inside and out with cold water. Fill a big pot with cold water and place chicken inside add roughly cut up carrots onions and celery. Season with salt %26amp; pepper. Bring to boil then lower temperature so your stock is simmering. Simmer like this for 11/2 hrs covered.

From time to time skim foam from stock. After the 1%26amp; half hours are up carefully remove chicken from pot, when cool enough to handle remove skin and discard. Dice chicken and add to pot. You can add more veg at this point or pasta shells bring to boil and simmer again. Enjoy
